1. Take drinks that contain good amount of caffeine to keep you awake.

3. Massage your knees or earlobe.
Massaging some sensitive parts of our body helps us to stay awake in the sense that, response is more ideal wheneve there is a touch. You don't have to press hard, just massage it slighty using your thumb for about 5 mins and continue on your work. Sometimes you might need to invite someone to massage your shoulders a bit. During the massage, there would be more need to sleep or just lie down to enjoy more but immediately you're done, you feel like you have just waken up from a deep night sleep, which in turn helps you to stay awake at that moment.
4. Take a quick nap, not more than 30 mins.
If using technicalities does not seem to solve your problem, take a quick nap and set an alarm to wake you up in 15 to 20 mins. Do not do more than 30 mins, for it might turn out to be a good sleep, therefore needing more at a course of time. Alternatively, it is more wise to ask someone to wake you up in the absence of accurate alarm and the presence of procrastination.
5. Open a page and log in for a small slow chat.
Whenever we got something hanging behind our second mind, we tend to be alerted, in the sense that our emotions are full of anticipations. You can never fall asleep while chatting, but make sure it doesn't affect the speed of your work.

8. Take a simple walk up the stairs and down.
This is good in order to keep your mind racing in an exercising mode. When your blood moves faster than normal, there would be no urge to rest, it kills stress and also have you awake.
9. Listen to jazz or any active music.

11. Avoid the causes of sleep at work.
Eating heavy foods, stressing yourself more than wanted, lack of enough night sleep, dehydration and other obvious things that can cause dizziness and lack of water. Instead, concentrate on simplicity rather than complicating your life.
12. Concentrate on constant hydration.
Drink alot of water. Like I've mentioned earlier, lack of constant hydration is the cause of many dizziness that always ruins the sanity of our works. So in order to stay awake at work without sleep you need to drink alot of cool water to keep the flow of blood more active.
Turn the fan right facing you. If this doesn't sound harmful to your health, try keeping the wind direction towards your face. I bet this has worked for me alot on how to stay awake at work without sleep many times.
