How To Fix A Scratched CD

Were you looking for a way to reduce crack while watching your favourit CD? 1. Cotton Wool and Water.
Cotton is most softest of all fabric so it'll not make any harm on your CD. Just get a clean one and deep it inside pure water and rub it gently with some force on the scratched CD for about 2 minutes. When you're done, pick up another clean cotton wool and dry the CD cleaned. This is the most easiest method on how to fix a scratched CD yet. Although the rest of the methods are also more effective, you might try to use this one before you get into chemicals.

2. Using Banana Peel.
Banana peel is one of the perfect cleaners when it comes to fruits. Peel out a fresh banana and rub the watery side of it on the scratched CD more gently to avoid finger scratch and other things. Make sure the banana is washed in the sense that particles of dirts on the banana might add more scratch on the CD. Rub it for atleast 5 minutes and clean the CD up with cotton wool.

3. Using Furniture Polish to Fix a Scratched CD.
Wipe up the scratched CD clean and dry with cotton wool. Get a good furniture polish and just pledge on soft clothing, you might use good cotton wool also. Buff the surface of the scratched CD until it becomes dry and shiny. This is a method of fixing a terribly scratched CD. The wax will workably fill out the scratches, so the CD laser cannot recognize them. Look for furniture polish anywhere to make this possible.

4. Brass or Metal Polish.
Get some metal polish, usually at a metal store. Pour some content of the polish on a clean cloth and buff it from the center down to the edge of the scratched CD. Round it for atleast 2 times and wash it clean with clean water ONLY. Dry the CD using cotton wool or cotton clothing and test it immediately.

5. Vaseline Solution.
In order to fix a scratched CD using vaseline, get some portion of petroleum jelly vaseline and rub it on the scratch using your index finger. Allow some pressure in order to make sure the scratches were filled up. Leave it for a minute and wipe the scratched CD clean with a cotton wool.

6. Toothpast To Clean up Scratch.
Dab some content of toothpast on the CD, rub it thoroughly to make sure all the parts were wetted. Get a clean clothing or cotton wool and wipe out the paste starting from the center down to the edge until you rub out everything and clean. Toothpaste is just a working method to get rid of or fix scratched CD, but avoid using gel.

7. Using Peanut Butter on Scratched CD.
As we've mention on the first method, using water and cotton. In this part we use peanut butter instead of water. Wipe it out with cotton wool, dried and test your CD. You might also use alcohol as an alternative to peanut butter, which also works fine.

8. Using Light Bulb.
In this case we are trying to warm the CD as a trial and error method of fixing scratches. Hold the CD facing the light bulb with a distance of about 10m. Swine the CD while holding it for 30 second and test it immediately. It is very predictable that this method works according to DVD or CD players, but atleast its worth sharing.

9. Scratch Observation Methods.
This is more easier of fixing a scratched CD, IF the scratches are not so much. Observe where the scratches occur and use your moistured hand to rub slowly on it for a minute. Do this for all the scratches and here we go.

In order to get the best result you have to be so careful not to keep scratching the CD disc in place of wiping out or cleaning up. Avoid keeping disc uncovered.
