For those that doesn't have dreams often, they have a low or slow generation of inner visualization and so they need more time of deep sleep in order to experience dream. If you're such an individual, drinking alot of water would not help you achieve your intent of having dreams more often. The solution is to eat light food and less water. Avoid soda in the evening and any drink that may enhance hydration within the system and cause lose of waste through urinating.
