Interactions within the Natural Environment - Ecology

These are several processes which take place within the environment. These processes result from the inter-relationships of the living organisms with one another and with their physical environment. The interactions usually take the form of competition for space and for the resources available in the environment, or the competition may be between individual organisms within the same species. This is know as intra-specific competition. On the other hand, competition may be between members of different species, known as inter-specific competition.

Competition may have positive or negative effects. An example of positive competition is symbiosis in which the relationship between the two sides is mutually beneficial. Examples of negative competition include parasitism, predation and allelopathy.
This are the interaction within the natural environment between living-things living in a particular habitat.
