1. Gnats Sanitation.
In order to avoid the multiplication of gnats in your home you have to maintain a better sanitation of where this gnats usually feed and habitate. One of the places that is vulnerable of gnats infestation is the trash can. Make sure that all trashes are covered with a good lead, and kept far away from the apartment. Refrigerate all fruits and vegetables.
2. Vinegar and Dish Soap Home Remedy.
Get a medium sized clean bowl and pour some pure liquid dish soap inside. Add some few drops of apple cider vinegar and stir the solution vigorously. Try to make it bubble a bit so that it will drown the gnats easily. Place the bowl at where the gnats infested, for atleast 3 hours. The quantity of the vinegar should be more than the dish soap in order to attract the gnats with the vinegar smell. Shake the bowl after 3 hours to generate more bubble for good capture.
3. Bottle and Vinegar or Sugar.
Get an empty bottle of a considerable size, pour vinegar and cover the bottle with a rolled funnel shaped paper. Roll it a bit with a duct tape to avoid unnecessary watch out. Alternatively, you can use a real rubber funnel in place of the rolled paper. Shake the bottle also to keep the smell and concentration of the vinegar at high level. Place the bottle at the infested area. The way to get rid of gnats with this method is, the gnats will find their way inside the bottle, the vinegar will drown them, even though they weren't drown by the liquid, there is no way out for them. Try to shake it after every hour or two to make sure your trap to get rid of gnats in your home is more successful. In the absence of white vinegar, use other types or just simply thick mixed sugar with water.
4. Soda Bottle Trap.
Get a very ripped fruit and put it inside a soda bottle, or alternatively just something with smaller opening, but the bottle most be transparent. Mount a funnel at the opening at wait for the gnats to get in. Tie the opening of the bottle with a duct tape to make sure that they can't come out through the small obvious spaces. You can also get another piece of fruit and place it outside the window to get some of the flies out of your home. Eventually, birds will take over the whole thing and you shall see them no more.
5. Baking Soda.
Pour small amount of baking soda down the sink, and add some small content of white vinegar. The solution will kill them all in less than an hour, then flush the corpses from the drain with hot water. Repeat this 3 in a week to make sure gnats are no more breeding inside the sink.
Expose gnats in order to part with them permanently.
