Programming, in its nature is not something that you start today and make a better outcome from your skills. Yes, programming is really hard. So you have to start now, keep on scratching on this keyboard until you make up the little you can, then continue from there or start a new one. Even though you have a tutor that put you through programming, lest you keep trying to do the best with your brain you would not find it easy to become a good programmer.
2. Starting From the Scratch.
When I say starting from the scratch, I don't mean to discourage your skill esteem in programming those games. But it is also clear, we can't just start building from the top. Do the simple ones before moving upwards with your skills building. People spend alot of time before getting more out of programming, so be patient, consistence, and determine to make it up no matter the time and energy it may consume. You could spend at least 6 hours behind that screen for a month before your practice might make some impart; on how to become a good programmer.
3. Work Hard On to Program
Consider working a little bit harder than normal, for no achievement comes by guess or mistake. Determine to live above the challenges of failure in programming and keep looking for loop holes to keep your skills at a high rate of motivation. Although, seriousness and time should BE over emphasized if you want to become a good programmer, always think of other things outside the world of programming in order to balance your programming mind to better articulation and creativity. Refresh your brain, just as you refresh the screen before you, if you really want to make an impact on this programming thing. Am not rambling, but I want to keep you on the track of consciousness, that programming is not just like learning how to play games or how to draw. Effort is needed, skills are vital, determination is important and challenges are common. So embrace them all, and lets kick to the next look up.
4. Experimental Programming Practices.
As you may have already sensed that everything about programming is complicated, experiments are good motivators and skill builders. Look for a way of solving problems by yourself by writing codes. Even though it ISN'T easy to write the perfect code just to solve and go, you could make it to a certain level. No matter how wrong the codes looks like, do not care much about failing this one. Just focus on cramming codes as far as you can. Make a simple deathline for yourself, to move to certain level before a week pass out or two. Keep trying to move more forward, not allowing the mistake to mislead your emotions and focus towards becoming a good programmer.
Although time is good a factor on every achievement in life. Computer programming deserves the best of timing. Learning on how to become a good programmer fast, keep this at the back of your mind that time gives the best of every focus.
